Four Chester County spots are among the Main Line restaurants that offer some of the tastiest vegetarian options and meatless cuisine in the region, writes Sophie Tegenu for Main Line Today

The Black Cat Café in Devon serves both excellent vegetarian cuisine and gluten-free fare. The quaint café has a variety of both tasty breakfast and lunch options, including a standout vegetarian chili. As a bonus, proceeds benefit Pet Adoption and Lifecare Society. 

Next is The Greyhound Cafe in Malvern, where every dish served is not only vegetarian but vegan as well. The eatery supports local activism and vegan charities while offering many delicious plant-based options. Make sure to try Greyhound salad and vegan lovers’ pizza. 

Meanwhile, Nectar in Berwyn is both sleek in design and scrumptious in taste. It serves amazing Asian fusion cuisine, including vegetarian small plates and rolls, as well as a standalone vegetarian menu. 

Finally, Roots Cafe in West Chester has been serving green cuisine for the last decade. It focuses on sourcing local ingredients and supporting area farmers. Additionally, do not miss their mushroom hash or vegan gyro.
